'Inside Princess' is an engaging suite of short films that lifts the lid on the craftsmanship, skill and passion that goes into each and every Princess yacht produced.

The latest addition to the suite invites viewers to witness the attention to detail gained from the work in the Mock-Ups. Here, designers work closely with carpenters who replicate full scale models of the interior spaces of every new Princess model. The teams evaluate and refine the spaces by bringing to life the CAD designs created in the Princess Design Studio – to ensure that each and every element feels right from head heights, coffee tables and chairs to the ergonomics of sitting and manoeuvring around the yacht.

'Its pretty astounding, we build a 1:1 of an actual boat that we are about to produce and we do this for every new model to see if its going to work and we refine it, tweak it and make changes until we get it right', says Gerry Lapthorn, Manager, Mock-Ups.

Launched exclusively to the Princess fan-base via social media, viewers can take a closer look at some of the incredible crafts that go into producing some of the most exquisite yachts in the world, from carpentry to metal work, loom production to infusion moulding. Princess Yachts invite viewers to immerse themselves in a world of unparalleled craftsmanship and meet the people that give brilliance to each and every component.

Since 1965, Princess Yachts has strived to deliver voyages of endless possibility to each and every customer, and continues to do so by building yachts to universal acclaim in the south west of England. With a detail-oriented culture of innovation, these yachts are not only some of the most technically-advanced in the world, but are also recognised as the most beautifully crafted, too.

Perched on the edge of the English Channel lies the city of Plymouth, where Princess established it's home over 50 years ago. Princess shipyards cover an area of over 1.1 million square feet, an area rich in British maritime heritage. In fact, South Yard, where the M Class Superyachts are constructed, is a former naval yard dating back to the 17th century.

Today, the city's ship-building heritage continues at Princess Yachts with over 2,000 people, each possessing a mastery of their skill, sometimes passed down through the generations or gained through the highly regarded apprenticeship scheme.

The Princess Yachts Design Studio is constantly working to develop ever more ingenious ways to ensure every last millimetre of each boat is ergonomically sound, highly practical, spatially perfect and impeccably hand-finished. Once the team of naval architects, designers and engineers have determined a design, the craftspeople fastidiously bring it to life with their unique skills. Every beautiful detail is crafted and finished within the Plymouth shipyards. This enables Princess to consistently monitor quality throughout each build. And this makes Princess Yachts unique.

Experience the exceptional.
