The UK Fireball Association is delighted to announce Gul Performance Apparel as title sponsors of the Fireball National Championship and the Golden Dolphin series for 2018 and 2019.

Penzance SC will host the 2018 Gul Fireball National Championship during the week of 21-27 July and a good entry is expected as competitors warm up for the World Championship to be held in Carnac in August.

In 2018, open meetings counting towards the Gul Golden Dolphin series will be held at:

  • Chew Valleys SC on 24 - 25 March
  • Blackwater SC on 28 - 29 April
  • Brightlingsea SC on 9 - 10 June
  • Hayling Island SC on 16 - 17 June
  • Staunton Harold SC on 22 - 23 September

Mike Pickering, Sales and Marketing Manager, Gul Performance Apparel, commented:
"Gul are delighted to be supporting the UK Fireball class. We feel that the Fireball Class is perfectly aligned with Gul in supporting competitive racing across all ability levels. Gul have a long history of supporting sailing and look forward to working with the UK Fireball Association"

Chris Turner, Chairman, UK Fireball Association, commented:
I am very pleased indeed that Gul has decided to not just continue its strong relationship with the Fireball class but to expand it to embrace the Nationals and the Golden Dolphin series over the next two seasons. In looking to support and encourage competitors throughout the fleet, Gul's ethos mirrors that of the UK Fireball Association which has been successful in attracting many newcomers, including a significant number of youth sailors, to the class during the last few years.
