Lake Wauburg - University of Florida - Old South Intersectional University of Florida
Old South Intersectional update from the University of Florida.

Day One

As always, Lake Wauberg likes to keep things interesting. The course was a modified windward leeward with a closed gate. The day started out with glassy water and a postponement.

At 11:45 enough wind filled in from the South to send the boats out and get started. One A race was sailed and the boats were sent back in for another postponement. The wind did a complete 360 degree rotation not once, but twice throughout the day. The postponement was ended at 1pm and racing continued throughout the day with occasional delays due to lack of wind or large shifts.

Around 3:45 the wind finally filled in with a steady five knot northwest breeze. Three A sets and two B sets were completed. Four protests were filed by Clemson: two were dropped, one resulted in the disqualification of Georgia Tech (rule 11) and the other resulted in the disqualification of Clemson (rule 11).

Day Two
Sunday started with a postponement that lasted until 11:15, a southwest breeze of five to six knots ensued with slight shifts for the remainder of the day. A full rotation was completed for a total of 10 races in each fleet.

Thanks to all the competitors for a great weekend of sailing and to those on the UF Sailing who came out to Old South Intersectional
