In the radio briefing given to the fleet, last night, a weak high pressure system was expected to develop over the Western Tasman sea by Friday. Another low with a trough to the north is expected to move east from Tasmanian on Saturday night, bringing vigourous southerlies along the coat during Sunday.

The forecast for the Illawarra coast on Thursday night was Easterly 10-15kts becoming variable about 10kts in the late evening.

The outlook for Friday is NE about 10-15kts. On Saturday the NE breeze of 10-15kts was expected to remain, before turning northerly and increasing to 20-30kts. One metre swells were expected.

The maps from Predictwind are still very similar for Sunday, as published before the start on Thursday. (See links to earlier story above).

The yacht Rush reported an injured crewman on last night's radio sked. The injuries were not believed to be serious.
