Legendary industry identity (and former triple world champion) Reggie Fountain. Rodrick Cox
Reggie Fountain--a legend, a leader and a brand that still defines one of the most historic chapters of Powerboating history.

The compelling story of offshore racer and boat builder Reggie Fountain--the man who revolutionized offshore racing with innovations in boat building that still influence the sport today--is told by American Performance Media in its new film documentary, King of Offshore.

From his adolescent days chasing fishermen on North Carolina's Tar River to building a billion dollar global powerboat empire, the story follows the high-speed life of Reggie Fountain and his relentless pursuit to build the fastest deep-vee boats in the world.

Over a year in the making, King Of Offshore is a comprehensive history of the evolution of modern high performance boats and the man who built them.

The program features an extensive collection of archival footage with never before published scenes and commentary by the legendary men who competed with, and influenced the 'Boy from Tarboro.'

The full story has never been told before and answers the question, 'What happened to Reggie Fountain?'

The producers created the program to pay homage to the man and machines that influenced and changed performance boating for over five decades. They now look to broadcast the story to a national television audience-with your input.

In order to tell this amazing story to as many people as possible, the producers must finalize costs for broadcast rights to some of the rarest historical footage and photographs from offshore racing's glorious past--and secure a network schedule.

Therefore, we have started a King of Offshore Kickstarter campaign. You helped make Reggie the King of Offshore, and with your support, we can reach that goal.

View our Kickstarter campaign and learn how you can be a part of the King of Offshore legacy. Top pledgers will have the opportunity to view the pre-broadcast world premiere with Reggie Fountain himself in his personal theater! Click here to go to Kickstarter.

The appeal of offshore
