The World Champion New Zealand Optimist Team returned home this afternoon. Sail-World was at the Airport welcome for the team who won the Open World Championship, the Girls World Championship and the Team World Championship (fleet racing).
On Sunday evening, Wakatere BC held a Wolcome Home function to celebrate the achievements of four club members at the Optimist Worlds, (Open World Champion and a 9th placing), the 2007 OK Worlds (Silver medal), and the ISAF Youth World Championships (Silver medal)
