Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Race Week 2014 - Relishing a challenge

Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek 2014 Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Race Week
2014 Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek - Sailors are known to relish a challenge, whether it be a round-the-world passage or a crossing in high seas, or in the case of Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek this year, getting in a series of racing with just three days of breeze. The Race Management did it. The sailors did it. And another great Raceweek was brought to a close.

The first two days of this year's Regatta were possibly the best on record. A combination of good winds and stunning weather made for some great racing for the sailors, and great photos and video for the media.

Then day three happened. Or did not happen, as the winds never turned up. Despite the PRO's best efforts, racing was abandoned.

The final day dawned and while some forecasts were for more of the same (or worse) than day three, they were proved wrong as the breeze filled in allowing the PRO to get in another race and complete the series.

Challenging for all, but happy faces all round at the closing party.
