Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Regatta and Blue Water Series are hosted by The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, who have announced a new three year partnership with Club Marine as the naming rights sponsor for both events.

The Club Marine Pittwater and Coffs Harbour regatta, dubbed the 'warm water classic' will enter its 32nd year in 2013 with racing commencing at 1pm on 2 January with the Category Two Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Race. The regatta continues off the Coffs coast with a combination of up to four windward leeward and passage races, open to Category Four yachts over two days on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 January. The 2013 regatta will also play host to the second annual Australian PHS Championships.

Corey Yeung NSW State Manager Club Marine said, 'Club Marine is proud to be associated with this iconic ocean racing event and the members and yachtsmen and women competing in it. For us, it’s a great opportunity to be a part of the Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Regatta and the Blue Water Series and to also further our existing relationship with the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club.'

'We look forward to meeting all the competitors and seeing them out on the water and welcoming them when they arrive in Coffs Harbour in early January', added Yeung.

Commodore of the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club Rob Curtis commented on the partnership, 'We are extremely grateful to Club Marine for coming on board as the naming rights sponsor for the Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Regatta and the club’s Blue Water Series. We look forward to working closely with them over the next three years.'

The Club Marine Pittwater to Coffs ocean race is part of the RPAYC’s five race Blue Water Series, with races from Barrenjoey to Bird Island, Cabbage Tree Island, Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay. The Category Two Cabbage Tree Island race has been added to the calendar this year as a specific warm-up race for the Coffs Race. This overnight race commences on the evening of Friday 7 December.

Entries continue to roll in with the RPAYC Commodore, Rob Curtis and his syndicated Murray 42, ‘Secret Men’s Business#1’, two times winner CYCA’s Julian Farren-Price’s Cooks on 12 ‘About Time’ and RSYS sailor Phillip Bennett’s custom 11.5m ‘King Billy’ have submitted their entries most recently with plenty more expected in the coming weeks.
