Hydros bat le record du Ruban Bleu à bord de l'Hydroptère.ch

Lac Léman (SUI) - Magnifique performancedu catamaran Hydroptère.ch sur le parcours du Ruban Bleu Loris von Siebenthal/HYDROS
Le catamaran volant l'Hydroptère.ch mené par Daniel Schmäh vient de battre le record du Ruban Bleu entre le Port Noir et le Bouveret, sur la distance théorique de 66.5 miles nautiques (123 kilomètres). Il améliore ainsi de plus de huit minutes le temps établi par Philippe Cardis en Décision 35 en 2007.

« Nous avons eu de magnifiques conditions de bise aujourd’hui », explique Daniel Schmäh, skipper de l’Hydroptère.ch. « Le vent a tenu dans le haut lac, ce qui est assez rare et qui avait manqué lors des dernières tentatives. Nous avons cassé un safran sur le retour, mais avons pris la décision de continuer car nous étions dans un bon timing. Nous avons dû tirer de nombreux bords vu la direction du vent, ce qui a d’autant plus rallongé la distance parcourue. »

L'équipe soutenue par Lombard Odier & Cie n’en était pas à son premier essai puisqu’il avait déjà tenté à plusieurs reprises de battre le record cette année, sans succès. En remportant ce record, l’Hydroptère.ch valide trois années de développement technologique et devient le troisième bateau à s’inscrire au palmarès du Ruban Bleu.
