SeaBin directors Andrew Turton and Pete Ceglinski said today ‘Our SeaBin project has gone viral throughout the world with over 70 Million video views and the SeaBin Facebook page has over 70K followers and growing by the minute.

‘The SeaBin video has been translated into various languages in countries all over the world!

‘Interest and support is incredible with Americas Cup Management, Rio Olympics, Vendee Globe Volvo Ocean Race and
Team LandroverBAR all expressing interest of having SeaBins in the race villages.

‘But the bad news is that if the Seabin project cannot raise the remaining $32,000 in the next nine days then they receive zero dollars and everything gets returned to the amazing and supportive donators.

‘London’s major newspapers ran a feature on the Seabin project and national TV in France, Spain and Australia have featured Seabin project, along with radio stations in Spain, New Zealand and Australia also. The support from the social media community has been incredible.

‘We have a manufacturer in France who has come on board and we will be rotational moulding the SeaBins from 70-100% recycled plastics.

‘Plastics experts are helping us with alternative materials to add to these recycled plastics to make SeaBins stronger.
‘Supporters are all offering services ranging from legal representation and marine biologists to engineers and scientists for alternative power sources. All pro bono because they believe in the Seabin project.

‘So fingers crossed for inside the next nine days we can reach the goal!!

‘So far we have 5,718 backers and we are averaging a donation every 3 minutes.

‘Donations are ranging from $2 to $3825

‘The $2 'Buzz perk' being the most amount of people donating, and the average being donated is more than the $2 asked for.

‘Donations from $1 to $50K are accepted and sharing our project link is amazing!’

‘Seabin project needs our ocean loving communities help! Time is running out.

‘Please post on your Facebook pages, on send by email and on-tweet this message to everyone you know.’
