13th Western Circuit - Singapore's Largest Keelboat Event is Coming!

Close racing in the Straits of Johor - 13th SMU-RM Western Circuit Sailing Regatta Danny Ng
The 13th SMU-RM Western Circuit Sailing Regatta (WCSR) will be launched on Saturday, August 15, from Raffles Marina. The largest club regatta in Singapore, it will be held over three weekends with the scheduled dates as: 15, 21, 22, 28 August 2010.

With 6 classes, over 40 boats and almost 300 participants, WCSR represents a platform for sailors to enjoy keen competition in the western waterways of Singapore.

The strong currents, shifty wind conditions and occasional storm winds provide a stiff challenge to sailors as they battle to stay ahead. More than just a sailing regatta however, the WCSR also sets the stage for boaters to come together and enjoy themselves in the company of like-minded sailors.

This momentous year, the 13th SMU-RM Western Circuit Sailing Regatta is set to bring you three weekends of exhilarating racing and great after-parties as Singapore Management University (SMU) students inject their signature vibrancy and enthusiasm into their fourth joint collaboration with Raffles Marina.

Sporting a full programme line-up including top performing groups from SMU, the evening schedule promises to be a grand affair, a fitting finish to the day's competitive races.
