Open Russian Championship - Festival of Finn sailors

The organization committee of Open Russian 2012 is pleased to invite you to the Open Russian 2012 international regatta, which includes also Open Russian Finn Association Championship 2012 and Open Russian Finn Masters Championship, National Russian Junior Championship and Championship of Russian Students Sport Union.

The event will be held on Klyazma and Pirogovo Lakes in Moscow on August 28 – September 02, 2012.

The Championship will take place in Moscow, hosts of the 49-er World Championship, the Finn Gold Cup in 2005 and Junior Finn World Championship (Silver Cup) 2007 and 2011.

August, 28 – Registration, Charter boats distribution, Opening Ceremony
August, 29 – Fleet Races
August, 30 - Fleet Races
August, 31 - Fleet Races
September, 01 - Fleet Races, welcome Russian Finn Association dinner
September, 02 – Final race, Medal Race, Closing Ceremony

Entry fee is 80 Euro for senior sailors and free of charge for juniors.

Charter boats can be provided for participants. One fully equipped Finn boat (Devoti 2004, build for Gold Cup 2005) and one mast (Hit Mast, bend numbers are available) can be provided by Moscow Sailing School to each participant for charter on demand. Charter fee is 40 Euro per day (total 160 Euro) under damage deposit of 300 Euro. You are invited to bring your sails and personal equipment only.

Special offer for juniors: charter boat free of charge under damage deposit only.

Sailors and accompanying persons can stay at Moscow Sailing School hotel just near the place where charter boats will stay. Price is 30 Euro per night for one person (three times per day meal is included into the price of the accommodation).

The number of rooms at Moscow Sailing school hotel is limited. So you will need to reserve your room in advance.
The reservation of the rooms and charter boats should be done by August, 11.

We are expecting moderate breeze of 4-6 knots at the beginning of the regatta which will increase in the second half of the event to up to 10-16 knots. The day temperature is around 15-25 degrees C. It is going to be Festival of Finn sailors with meetings of many friends and Finn heroes from Russia, Estonia, Ukraine and many other countries.

We will appreciate if you send the Entry Forms to the Regatta Office on or before August, 11st 2012.
