2011 Irish Dragon National Championship held on the open waters off the Old Head of Kinsale - Brewin Dolphin Dragon Gold Cup 2012 Kinsale Yacht Club
Brewin Dolphin Dragon Gold Cup 2012 is taking place from 8th to 14th September at Kinsale Yacht Club, Co Cork, Ireland. With less than three months until racing gets underway there has been a huge calibre of interest and steady number of entries from all over the world. Already several world champions and ex-Olympians have entered from 15 countries with over 70 boats expected to compete in the open waters off the Old Head of Kinsale.

The race management team will be headed up by Alan Crosbie and the International Jury and measuring officer have been appointed.

The Irish Dragon South Coast Championships are taking place at Kinsale Yacht Club on 1st and 2nd September, to serve as a 'warm up' event for the Gold Cup.

There is a full racing and social programme for both events, as well as special discounts on ferries from the UK and France to Dun Laoghaire, Rosslare and Cork. The Brittany Ferries discount from Roscoff to Cork has been extended until end June 2012 so booking advisable over the next two weeks.

'We are delighted to host the prestigious Dragon Gold Cup at Kinsale Yacht Club this season and look forward to welcoming a world-class fleet to Kinsale in September,' said Cameron Good, Commodore, Kinsale Yacht Club.

'We are grateful to private investment managers, Brewin Dolphin, title sponsors of the Dragon Gold Cup, official product partner Dubarry and the support of the Irish Sailing Association and Failte Ireland,' he added. Kinsale Yacht Club Dragon Gold Cup website
