Yngling Springtime Championship final day - Great sailing

by Elena Giolai on 7 May 2012
Day 4 - Yngling Springtime Championship 2012 Davide Turrini/www.Gardainfoto.It
The Yngling Springtime Championship, organised by Fraglia Vela Riva, had 30 crews taking part. With all eight scheduled races completed with medium-strong winds, the enthusiasts of the Yngling class enjoyed four days of great sailing thanks to the generous wind conditions on Trentino Garda.

The places on the podium, which had been clearly defined on Friday, were confirmed on Saturday with the Dutch crew of Jamin-Smolders-Berens winning by nine points over Austrians Mayr-Knittel-Spaengler. Third place goes to the other Dutch crew of Deen-Oost-Van der Zee who today came in an excellent second place in the eighth and final race. Austrians Riha-Skolaut-Hofstaetter also gave a brilliant performance today winning the last race giving them fourth place overall.

The next racing date at Fraglia Vela Riva is 17th May for The Riva Cup. This regatta is open to the 505, Korsar and 14' classes and will have participants from Austria, Germany, Switzerland Great Britain, France, Finland and Denmark.
