RS Vareo Winter Championship 2012 Mike Dean
The RS Vareo Winter Championship was held at Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club over the weekend of 17th and 18th March 2012.
Unfortunately only four boats entered, however they were all from Bassenthwaite Sailing Club which resulted in competitive racing and the generous banter.
Mark Summersville won in style with three first places.
New recruit Robin Dawson finished an impressive second counting seven points ahead of Mike Cowan with eight points.
Phil Davenport completed all races in his first event and finished fourth overall.
Mark Summersville thanked Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club for running a good event in difficult conditions.
