Blockbuster weekend at Port Dalrympal YC Manika Dadson
Go Sailing Blockbuster Weekend - Port Dalrymple's Greg Rowsell and Penelope Hextall battled hard in tough conditions to win the Ns14 class at Beauty Point yesterday.

The class was closely contested by Dennis Leitch and Blake Nicholson who finished two points behind Rowsell and Hextall.

Nick McElwee and Jordan Martin, of Port Dalrymple Yacht Club, came in a close third.

Regatta co-ordinator Peter Sluce said that class was the closest scoring for the weekend, with the fleets swapping between first, second and third places in the majority races.

B14 world champions Guy Bancroft and Lachlan Imeneo were the stand-out performers in their class, finishing the weekend five points clear.

Maddey Davies was the overall winner in the laser 4.7 class finishing on six points, while Michael Muccitelli, of PDYC, won the laser radial on 14.

Sabot sailor Thomas Cooper took out his senior class on five points, and Ruby and Max Edmunds won the junior sabot class with 18.

Sluce said the regatta had been a great success despite wind changes and rain yesterday.

'The breeze came in pretty strong at about 25 knots (in the morning) and there were a couple of blokes with broken masts, so there was probably about a third of the fleets after race five,' he said.
