This is it! The biggest nautical event in France – the Paris Boat Show – is now over! After nine days of exhibition hosted at 'La Porte de Versaille', the 2011 Paris Boat Show has come to a close.

The feedback from this year's show is quite mixed, since the European market is still fighting to cover it's previous 'shine' in this strong nautical market.

We noticed that Beneteau has been doing well, with plenty of sales and a successful start on the new Oceanis range (see http://ensignyachts.com.au/new_yachts.html for more information). Furthermore, there was a particularly high level of interest in the Sense 55, which was on display at the Paris Boat Show on worldwide premiere and no less than four yachts has been signed of on the show!

There is no secret that in this kind of economic climate, the key factors to success are as follows; innovation, new concepts, product quality increase, and price positioning. Only the leader in yacht design can afford to mix these factor together – Beneteau!

The Sense concept marks a new era in lifestyle at sea. The new Sense 55’ has reached a new level of maturity. The opening up of the interior and exterior spaces, the new access to the sea, the overall organisation of the boat into subtly linked but independent living areas, and the hull reducing the heel angle providing sea-keeping which is second to none, all make good ‘Sense’, as does the increase in size.
