Entries are open for the Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) Inner Circle Green Dot Rum Christmas Cup and Veterans Cup to take place on Saturday 17th December, 2011.


Middle Harbour Yacht Club is proud to invite entries for these Cat 7 spinnaker and non-spinnaker events to take place around Sydney Harbour, starting and finishing at Middle Harbour Yacht Club.

Competing boats will be allocated to the following Racing Divisions:
Division 1 – Christmas Cup Yachts LOA 9.7m and over flying spinnakers
Division 2 - Christmas Cup Yachts LOA less than 9.7m flying spinnakers
Division 3 - Christmas Cup Yachts not flying spinnakers
Division 4 - Veterans Cup for boats that are 30+ years old
Division 5 – Old Farts Dog Bowl Trophy, for yachts where the combined age of boat and skipper is greater than 90 years

The Christmas Cup Perpetual Trophy shall be awarded respectively to the first placed yacht in each Division of the Christmas Cup.

The 'Veterans Cup' Perpetual Trophy shall be awarded to the first placed yacht in for boats that are 30+ years of age.

The 'Old Farts Dogs Bowl Trophy' shall be awarded to the first placed yacht that has a combined age of the yacht and skipper of a minimum of 90+ years. The 'Old Farts Dogs Bowl Trophy' is one of the original stainless steel Dogs Bowls that was used by Alex Whitworth and Peter Crozier for the epic trip around the world in their famous yacht Berrimilla.

A post race presentation will take place at the Club house at approximately 1630hours on Saturday 17th December – all competitors are invited to attend.

Proudly sponsored by Inner Circle Green Dot Rum winners will be awarded Inner Circle Green Dot Rum prizes.

Race Format: MHYC Club House Start and Finish, 1220 Warning Signal, 1230 Start Count up sequence.
