Australia’s oldest brand of aluminium boats has had a fresh new update and it is not only internal features that have benefitted with the introduction of the Ultra Lift Hull on most Savage models.

The Ultra Lift Hull will improve stability both at rest and underway, increase fuel efficiency and provide an all-round better performance than its predecessor, the Maximum Ride Hull.

All Savage models 455 and up excluding the new Jabiru Pro range will feature the new Ultra Lift Hull along with plate sides to give the Savage range a whole new look.

The Ultra Lift Hull has had an increase in the deadrise making the V sharper to deflect spray and neutralise chop for improved performance. The Extended Reverse Chine has also been increased by approximately 15 per cent which improves stability and provides a much smoother ride.

Research and Development Manager Craig Madam said the Ultra Lift Hull was designed using the latest in computer technology and is designed to complement a smaller horsepower for better fuel efficiency.

'The Savage Research and Development team used the latest complex Rhino computer program to develop and test the new Ultra Lift Hull before it was even put into production, so it makes the design process a lot easier and cost effective,' Craig said. 'The Ultra Lift Hull allows boats to be run with a smaller horsepower for greater fuel economy, which ultimately saves money by using less fuel and also allows customers to buy a smaller engine at a more affordable price.'

As well as a new hull design, the Savage models have also been updated with plate sides to provide a more modernised look instead of the previous pressed sides.

This, says Craig Madam, is because of 'feedback received from Savage dealers and previous customers who wanted a different, updated look on the new Savage range'.
