When the exciting new Belize Motoryacht arrives in Australia in about a month, it will be welcomed by a larger family of owners than usual.

The Belize 52 Hardtop, the first boat from the new Australian brand of luxury cruisers, is joining the fleet of Boating Syndication of Australia (BSA).

BSA Managing Director Andy Young said: 'We are proud to bring this beautiful and uniquely stylish new boat to our owners. We will bring the joy of owning a Belize to 10 families.'

Belize is the brainchild of Australian boating industry leaders Wes Moxey and Lee Dillon.

'We recognised there is a growing group of ardent boaters who love tradition and ageless style and require individuality and bespoke options,' said Lee Dillon. 'Wes and I share a passion for boats, a passion for quality, integrity and service.

'Our value positioning is second to none.'

Wes Moxey said: 'Belize takes its aesthetic cues from the luxury automotive industry as well as timeless timber-based European boats from the art deco-era of the 1920s and 1930s.

'The sheer of the low-profile Belize 52 Hardtop remains flat before gently rising to the bow, while still delivering great space in the decks below – generous three-cabin accommodation and a roomy saloon.

'The substantial teak-capped bulwark delivers secure side access for drier passage-making and ease of docking.'

Lee Dillon said Belize had selected BSA 'because Andy Young shares our sense of integrity and passion for perfection.

'Andy’s business model means that his Belize owners will know exactly what they can expect and what costs are involved,' he said. 'Andy and his team are meticulous in maintaining all the boats in their fleet and we expect our first Belize will be a gleaming example of our brand on Sydney Harbour over the next few years.'

The Belize 52 is built by Belize Motoryachts in collaboration with ISO-certified Kha Shing, a Taiwanese artisanal-based custom boat-builder with more than 35 years’ experience building more than 1,300 vessels ranging in size from 45 to 185 feet.

According to Wes Moxey: 'Kha Shing adapted to Belize’s complex production techniques, delivering on sublime details such as guttering under sliding windows to redirect condensation back overboard via a hidden central plumbing line.'

Designed specifically with the Cummins Zeus Pod drive system in mind, the boat’s warped-plane hull features scooped pod tunnels and a scooped arc/turned-down chine in the bow to deliver smooth and stately cruising.

Andy Young said he would offer 10 shares in the Belize 52 Hardtop at a cost of $139,000 per share plus ongoing costs. Half of the shares had already been accepted, he said.

Boating Syndication Australia maintains a fleet of luxury boats across a variety of brands at The Spit on Sydney Harbour.

'We are focussed on helping clients find the right boat for them, no matter where it may be,' said Andy Young. 'We can also bring together the right group of people to share in the luxury boating experience.

'Too often, syndication businesses are focussed on selling shares in a particular boat,' he said. 'It is pre-packaged with a standard agreement, standard shares and standard service.'

He said his team have managed more than 25 syndicated boats over the past five years so bring a wealth of experience to the company.
