6 Day Multihull Rally in the Whitsundays 28 August to 2 September

by Lynette Chalmers on 6 Aug 2011
The multihulls take off SW

Only three weeks to go before the cruising yachties in the Multihull Solutions Multihull Rendezvous Rally depart from Airlie Beach for six days of fun while sailing across the stunning aqua blue Whitsunday waters.

Each night will be spent anchored in the secluded bays of the scenic Whitsunday National Park islands. During the day the Multihull Solutions rally sails to many interesting places such as Butterfly Bay Hook Island where you can snorkel over magnificent coral and Whitehaven Beach Whitsunday Island with its pure white silicon sand.

The rally spends a day on Hamilton Island and dines at one of its fine restaurants. You might even have time for a game of golf. They sail to Club Crocodile Resort Long Island to enjoy a scrumptious poolside BBQ. Another place of interest the rally will visit is Nara Inlet Hook Island to inspect the remarkable aboriginal paintings.

A limit of fifteen entries has been set this year. Eleven yachts have already entered the rally so there are only four places left.

If you would like to join the rally, please visit the Abel Point Yacht Club website www.apyc.yachting.org.au for the full itinerary and entry form. If you have any questions you can email the club secretary at apyc(at)hotmail.com
Entries close 10 August 2011.
