Laser Bahia Bonanza returns in 2011

by Katie Ashworth on 6 Apr 2011
ENGLAND, Weymouth, 27th June 2010, LaserPerformance World Open Ian Roman Photography
The first Laser Bahia Bonanza was held in 2010 and ran by LaserPerformance at our SailLaser Centre at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. Following the success of the event, and the fun we had, the Laser Bahia Bonanza returns in 2011 at both UK SailLaser Centres.

The Laser Bahia offers a lot of boat for your buck as well as a number of excellent design features. A spacious and clutter free cockpit, high boom and GNAV vang system make the Laser Bahia an excellent teaching boat. The transom storage box, oars and outboard bracket provide versatility for family usage whilst the 14 square metre gennaker and trapeze add some speed for those wishing to race.

If you’re the proud owner of a Bahia this event will give you a great opportunity to get on the water with like minded sailors and enjoy some company afloat. If you’re not yet the owner of a Bahia, don’t worry, we’ve got boats available to charter for the weekend, so hopefully there is nothing to stop you from taking part!

The event has been planned to include some sailing tuition, giving you a great opportunity to hone your skills and benefit from the expert advice of SailLaser’s best instructors. Why not bring along your friends, family, children or your regular crew? The overall ambition of the Laser Bahia Bonanza is to have fun and for everyone taking part to finish the weekend having picked up some new tips.

The Laser Bahia Bonanza will be run at SailLaser Weymouth on 16th – 17th April and at SailLaser Scotland on 7th – 8th May. The Bonanza is a two day event and costs just £95.00 per boat. The charter fee for the whole weekend is just £50.00. To book and take part in the event, please contact your local SailLaser Centre:

SailLaser Weymouth: E-mail: info-weymouth@sail-laser.com Tel: 0845 337 3214

SailLaser Scotland: E-mail: info-scotland@sail-laser.com Tel: 0844 880 2115

If the dates for the event aren’t convenient to you, and you’d like to test sail a Laser Bahia, contact SailLaser and they will be able to arrange a more suitable occasion. Alternatively, why not consider taking part in the LaserPerformance Open which will take place at SailLaser Weymouth on 18th – 19th June. The Open is organised to bring the whole LaserPerformance sailing family together for a great time afloat and ashore. A full range of boats will be available to charter for the weekend.
