Mercury Marine is proud to announce their collaboration with Bavaria-Yachtbau in Giebelstadt, Germany.

New owners of Bavaria yachts will have the opportunity to order their new boat with MerCruiser gasoline power as standard on all boat models and exclusively as gasoline power on the brand new Sport 38 and the recently unveiled Sport 43.

Bavaria-Yachtbau will offer MerCruiser’s 5.0L MPI (260 HP), the 377MAG (320 HP) and the 8.2MAG HO (430 HP) power plants in their respective boat models. All engines are available with SmartCraft engine controls and Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) as standard, a technology that was pioneered by Mercury in 1999 and since then has accumulated over ten million hours of operation among end consumers.

Every Bavaria model is tested extensively and optimized in terms of its propulsion system. The engine installation undergoes a rigorous quality inspection to make sure that any boat that leaves the factory meets the high standards of the Bavaria brand. In return MerCruiser provides Bavaria-Yachtbau with an Installation Quality Certification (IQC) which entitles every Bavaria owner to an additional year of factory backed warranty on his engine.

The total warranty of 3 years within any country of the EU allows for customer satisfaction and peace of mind.

Also, the Mercury Axius Premier system will be available for all dual engine installations. Axius is the award winning joystick docking system developed by Mercury, that uses an intuitive joystick to control a boat during any docking maneuver. The proportional joystick provides full control over the vessel and adjusts the boat speed by the amount of pressure you apply. Axius Premier offers additional comfort through its integrated SkyHook and Auto Heading technologies. Additionally, Axius Premier provides a fully supported Auto Pilot function through its connection to an approved chart plotter.

'We are excited working together with Mercury MerCruiser,' said Meik Lessig, Sales Director for Bavaria-Yachtbau. 'MerCruiser offer an unprecedented dealer network in Europe, with outstanding, proven service capabilities and fast service parts delivery for our customers anywhere in the world.'
