The Womens match racing Team, Silver Sails report on the 2011 LIVESport telecom Womens Matchracing Championships

Hi everybody,

We finished the NZ Woman's Nationals today in third place overall. With two intense races against Jess McDowell, both of which we had penalties off the start line, we managed to secure the best of three finishes.

Today provided tough conditions with 28knot squalls then a lack of wind; torrential rain then bursts of sunshine. But, by sailing smart and to the shifts we managed to make a big come back in the second race as we were well behind at the bottom mark finishing a mere four seconds in front.

With another fantastic regatta under our belt, us Silver Sailors are currently planning out our next move. Will keep you updated and thanks again for your unwavering support!

Taylor, Samantha, Claudia, Hannah and Annaleisa

Special thanks to RNZYS, SLAM, Yachting NZ and NZL Sailing.
