Heart of America bids farewell to Fremantle SW
Heart of America were one of the character challengers in the 1987 America's Cup, they were headed up by the incredibly successful, hugely respected and universally admired, Buddy Melges all the way from Zenda, Wisconsin ('It's not quite the end of the world, but you can see it from there', was one of Melges' great one-liners about his hometown).
Although they didn't make the Challenger Semi-Finals, Buddy and his team gave it a very serious try, and like most America's Cup Challengers just ran out of time.
