P1 Superstock to unveil new race boat and engine partner

by Powerboat P1 Management on 13 Jan 2011
SW
Powerboat P1 Management (P1) is heading to Birmingham to launch its new race boat at Autosport International while many of the world's leading boat manufacturers are exhibiting at the London International Boat Show this week.

The new P1-28SS boat has been in development for the past eight months and, with the latest technology in safety, hull design, digital telemetry and data acquisition, it is set to revolutionise the sport of mono-hull powerboat racing. At 28ft (8.5m) long and capable of speeds up to 75mph, the boat represents exceptional value for money and is designed to make powerboat racing more accessible than ever before. An additional feature is that can easily be converted for recreational use.

The official launch at the NEC will take place on the P1 SuperStock stand - No. 6240 in Hall 6 - at midday tomorrow (Thursday, 13th January). P1 will also be announcing progress on negotiations for a ground-breaking new engine deal to power the new race boat and the provisional UK race calendar for this year's SuperStock Championship.

Held at the NEC since 1991, Autosport International is an annual pre-season motorsport event that uniquely caters for the industry and fans alike. Covering over 1 million square feet, the show features every level of racing, bringing together the world of motorsport under one roof.
