More racing at The Over the Moon NS14 Australian Titles on Lake Burley Griffin - The Over the Moon Promotions NS14 Australian Titles Canberra Media
In the difficult conditions for setting a course, and after several restarts and a realignment, Race 1 of the Over the Moon Promotions NS14 National Titles got under way at 3.30pm yesterday in 5 to 8 knots ENE.
The first work was won by Kylie Vaiciurgus and Rebecca Wiley sailing 'Knot Again' with Bob and Matt Engwirda on 'Space Invader' not far behind.
The race winning move was made by Sean Edmiston and Anna Lashko in 'Merlin' in the second and third legs. 'Merlin' was never headed, holding the lead to win by 23 seconds, with boats closing in at the finish.
Peter Vaiciurgus and Tina Babbage fought back from fourth place to finish second overtaking Craig and Mel Davidson, Canberra locals on 'Rubber Chicken Rocket Car' on the finish line.
Racing will continue at 2.00pm today, with the series finishing up on the 2nd January 2011.
