Singapore SB3 fleet looks forward to 2011

by Marcus Tehan,Singapore SB3 Fleet Captain on 21 Dec 2010
The Singapore SB3 Fleet cools down with a prizegiving in the pool - SB3 Tiger Trophy Chris Holmes
Fellow Sailors, Yachties and Friends,

It has been a great 2010 for the SB3 Singapore fleet, with many highlights. Our newly established Committee would like to thank our previous committee members Fab, Wallace, Chris, and Jamie, and Raffles Marina for their sensational efforts and commitment in 2010. We would not be where we are today without their help. And congratulations also go to our 2010 overall winner and ‘SB3 Sailor of the Year’, Wallace Cutherbertson!

2011 is going to be another exciting year with various partners, a new racing programme and even more activities planned!

Our new SB3 Singapore 2011 Committee Plan and provisional Racing Programme this year consists of:

1x National Championship
4x Regattas
20x Weekly Sprint Series (mixed Saturdays and Sundays)

Trophies and awards will be given for overall winners first, second, third places for each, as well as '2011 Sailor for the Year' (total aggregate points).

We seek everyone’s help in encouraging more family, friends and other competitors into the SB3 fleet so that we can continue to grow the sailing participation and competition. We also welcome volunteers – those people without whom racing just doesn’t happen. If you can offer help to the SB3 fleet throughout the year, and want to get involved, please contact us!

Wishing you a very safe and happy seasons greetings, looking forward to seeing you on the water in 2011!

Sincerely,

Marcus Tehan , Singapore SB3 Committee & Fleet Captain

Fortune favours the Beneteaus!
Thank you, Huey… Some sun, and a tad of wind means it is time to go racing... Ahead of the annual Beneteau Pittwater Regatta by Flagstaff Marine the weather had not been all that grand. So, peaks of sun migrating to distinct patches, and the occasional zephyr turning into a waft, then on to a calm breeze was fortunate.
