By December 2010, 88% space of the main venue Shanghai Exhibition Center has been sold for CIBS2011 exhibiting. A large number of exhibitors advanced their booth confirmation.

It is likely that the 2011 show, like many before it will have national pavilions from boat building powerhouses like France, Italy and Australia with a strong presence from New Zealand. Taiwan pavilion join the Shanghai Show again to seize the change to enlarge their promotion and try to find more yachts buyers.

Now, the online pre-registration system of the Shanghai Show has been officially launched. Exhibitors can visit www.boatshowchina.com and complete the forms. If all information is submitted complete and is approved, exhibitors will receieve one free ticket per registered account.

The size and professionalism of the Shanghai Show belies its humble underground car park beginnings all those years ago and this year will be the final year in its current home as it moves to occupy part of the former Shanghai Expo site in 2012.

The show has the usual industry forum running alongside and once again for 2011 has a larger on the water element with around 100 boats on the water on the nearby Huangpu River allowing potential customers to see, and try, the boat of their dreams on the water. Also uniquely in China the show displays it’s social awareness and responsibility with a Charity Regatta to raise finances and more importantly the profile of a local children’s charity.

Beside the new faces at CIBS 2010 we are honored to welcome our long established & regular customers at the showing including many international brands, such as The Bénéteau Group, The Ferretti Group, The Azimut-Benetti Group, The Brunswick Group, Sunseeker, Princess, Jebsen?Bahrfuss; as well as domestic giants Shanghai Double Hapiness, Changzhou FRP, Wuxi Dongfang, Zhuhai Sunbird, Zhuhai Jianglong, Xiamen Hansheng, Shanghai Yihong, Guangzhou Minhua, and many more.

With growing middle and upper classes and with China now having more millionaires than Europe any company that ignores this country does so at the risk to its bottom line or market share.

It is the place to meet others interested in boats and the water, whether fellow enthusiasts, customers, suppliers B2B opportunities and so much more.

The Shanghai Show with its long history and access to a natural customer base make it the obvious ‘China’ show to visit for exhibitor and buyer alike as the greatest concentration of those new millionaires mentioned earlier are in the three provinces of Shanghai and her neighbours, Jiang Shu and Zhe Jiang that surround the show.

More details on celebration events and activities for the 16th Anniversary of China (Shanghai) International Boat Show will be announced soon.
