The all-new 5-star Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket has signed as an official co-sponsor of the 2010 Phuket King's Cup Regatta (PKCR). Held between the fourth and 11th of December, the Regatta is Asia's largest sailing event.

After signing the agreement, Duncan Worthington, Regatta Media and Communications Director, said, 'We're very happy to welcome on-board Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket, and we look forward to working together for this Regatta, and beyond. The new resort is stunning, and ideally located right on Karon Beach.'

The new Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket is a 5-star beach resort located in the most secluded area of Phuket’s Karon Beach, with direct beach access, with a backdrop of lush green hills. All of the resort’s 262 spacious rooms, suites, and villas face the bay and feature private balconies and terraces with breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. The architectural design of the resort takes its inspiration from the classical Sino-Portuguese style brought to Phuket in the nineteenth century. The property is set in a landscaped water park with a ‘lazy river’ ride and four swimming pools.

Unlike many other hotels and resorts in the area, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket is located directly adjacent to the sandy beach of Karon.
