Doyle Sails has been helping to get results on the water in South Australia, New South Wales and Tasmania with Secret Men’s Business 3.5, Flying Cloud and Dekadence amongst those collecting silverware over the last couple of weeks.

Secret Men’s Business 3.5 (Reichel Pugh 52) has dominated South Australia’s two most significant pre-Christmas races beating Sydney–Hobart winner Two True in both regattas.

Last week Secret Men’s Business 3.5 took line honours in the 200nm pre-Hobart qualifier Haystack Island Race. The crew were particularly pleased with the new A7 recently delivered by Doyle Sails and are waiting for confirmation of a race record.

Boat manager Tim Cowen comments: 'Upwind there seems to be very little difference across the fleet in sails; helming skills are the most important factor. Downwind is a different story and this is where we really notice the difference; the downwind sail designs that we are now using are certainly helping us deliver the results.'

This week also saw Secret Men’s Business 3.5 victorious, winning the IRC Division of the prestigious Premiers Cup Regatta.

Meanwhile in Sydney at the Beneteau Regatta, Beneteau First 40 Flying Cloud won the IRC division sporting a full Stratis inventory. In the non spinnaker division Big Kahoona claimed victory with a partial Doyle inventory and in the Beneteau 57 fleet Gnak Gnak came second with a full Doyle inventory.

Heading south to Tasmania, line honours in the Maria Island yacht Race went to DK 46 Dekadence with a Doyle Stratis mainsail fresh out the bag and hoisted for the first time at the start of the race. Mr Kite, also with a full compliment of Doyle Stratis sails, was second over the line.

Doyle Sails' continual commitment to investment in development and technology, combined with the expertise of the design team led by Richard Bouzaid is producing tangible results both on and off the race course.
