The media conference ahead of the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix has concluded, without any special points being revealed, save that Kahina Kunz has been loaned by the Brazilian team to the German team for the rest of Season 5.

The session discussed the acquisition of the Australian Sail GP team by Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, partnering with Bonds, an iconic Australian brand. The team discussed the impact of this partnership and the recent wind collapse incident in San Francisco, which led to structural testing and the re-manufacturing of 12 wing sails.

The upcoming New York event will feature 12 teams, including top athletes like Diego Bo, Anna Weiss, and Giles Scott. The panel also discussed the importance of safety, team performance, and the excitement surrounding the New York race.

Black Foils skipper, Peter Burling is not expecting an easy time sailing on the Hudson River. "Obviously, there's a lot of current, and a lot of turbulence in the water. Also some pretty big waves generally, will make the boat handling reasonably hard."

"I think you'll see a lot of challenges there."

"The weekend's forecast looks like could be pretty changeable with a front coming through. So, there's plenty going on. And it'll be interesting to see how it plays out."
