Sydney’s Palm Beach Sailing Club hosted its annual 'Bullets' regatta in conjunction with the NSW F18 State Titles on November 13th and 14th.
The 'Bullets' regatta gets its name from the powerful 'sea breeze' wind gusts that blast competitors at the top mark. This year was no exception with a 'gradient' nor-easter being turbo charged by the normal seabreeze and blasting competitors on both days.
Competition was fierce with three current world champions and a host of National and State Title holders racing in F18s and Hobie 16s.
The F18s was won by Steve Brewin sailing with Dad Richard from the current Hobie 16 World Youth Champ Jason Waterhouse who was sailing with Josh McKnight.
The Hobie 16’s was won by Anthony Duchatel and Evelyn Curtis the current Hobie 16 Grandmaster World Champions from past National and State champ Upu Kila sailing with Josh Singh.
