Pascal Bidégorry and his men are officially on stand-by for the start of their attempt on the Trophy Jules Verne.

Maxi trimaran Banque Populaire V has been moored in Brest since October 20th, ready to commence their world record assault.


For the fourteen men who will sail her and their ground router Marcel van Triest, the wait for a favourable weather window has begun.

The team has been focused on the weather for ten days now and are ready to seize any real opportunity that presents itself.

Marcel van Triest and Juan Villa, the onboard navigator, are working together as new data arrives every six hours.

The men of Banque Populaire V know it will be necessary for them to be opportunist but also patient.
