Another beautiful day in the Whitsundays and the wind gods must have known it was a lay day at Race Week as they took the day off as well.
While many of the yachties took the opportunity to laze around the pool, there was no shortage of things to do.
Crosbie Lorimer had a busy day on land and water, starting with a fishing trip to Edward Island with the 'Deadliest Catch' team of the Hillstrand brothers on Peter Teakle's magnificent Riviera; alas the journalist jinx saw the fish stay away, but happily some whales obliged with a fine show.
Then it was back to shore to capture some colour of the Rest Day. The Shogun crew laid on an informal game of soccer on Catseye Beach, intrerrupted briefly by the Roulettes aerial performance team, who carved up the skies over Dent Passage for at least twenty minutes.
After which it was time to kick back and watch the armada of yachts heading home from Whitehaven Beach, amongst them the huge and very beautiful 90' Kokomo, making light work of the firece current that runs through Fitzalan Passage.
Back to sailing tomorrow.
