Beijing Sailing Centre Great Wall Charity Sailing Challenge – 15-17 October 2010
Beijing Sailing Center has partnered with the charity Roundabout to bring to Beijing the most extreme team sporting event of the year, the Great Wall Charity Sailing Challenge.
The challenge is a testing three step race; a 40km sail from the BSC sail base near Beidaihe to Laolongtou (Old Dragon's Head, where the Great Wall meets the Bohai Sea); a 12km run along the path of the Great Wall ruins via the scenic wall fort of Shanhaiguan; and then onwards to the grand finish point on top of the Great Wall at Jiaoshan.
We are looking for Beijing’s most daring and adventurous people to participate in this challenge, as well as sponsors to support teams and individuals taking part in the event. We invite team supporters to come and cheer the competitors at each stage of the race, all the way along the route to the finish line. If you are interested in competing, sponsoring or just coming to holler for your team, contact us at sailing@beijingsailing.com, or call 010 5900 0276.
