Airlie Beach Antics - Lay Day pranks

by Toilet Paper Bandit on 17 Aug 2010
IMG 4963 - Airlie Beach Race Week MIAA
Meridien Marinas Airlie Beach Race Week.

Authorities in Airlie Beach Queensland are looking for four unidentified sailors who have been seen wrapping a yacht up in toilet paper. It seems the vessel leading the 2010 Meridien Marinas Airlie Beach Race Week Performance Handicap division (Terry Archer's Questionable Logic) has been targeted by these unknown sailors with these images just received.

Anonymous sources allege that some 36 rolls of toilet paper were used both inside and outside of the Sydney 40 racer. With each roll being 20m in length that is a total of 720m of toilet paper.

The life lines, boom, winches, spinnaker pole and everything onboard visible were all subject to a complete wrapping however it seems they have managed to enter the boat and even the head was wrapped.

No finger prints have been obtained but local authorities say they are looking for four sailors probably with too much time on their hands.

If you have any information contact Terry Archer from Home Loan Specialists in Airlie Beach. He is also Vice Commodore of the Whitsunday Sailing Club and be contacted through their office.

Until more information is available, that's a wrap!!!!
