The yacht club that hosted the world’s preeminent sailor’s parties for the Volvo Ocean Races and the Whitbread Round the World Race is doing it again. This time Eastport Yacht Club (EYC) is throwing an outdoor dance party - its fourth Annual Boat Show Bash - celebrating the upcoming U.S. Sailboat Show. The Bash is also a fundraiser supporting community youth at the Box of Rain Foundation and the Eastport Yacht Club Foundation.

Boat Show attendees, exhibitors, area boaters and all land lubbers are invited to dance under the stars to The Rovers and Matt McConville at EYC’s Sycamore Point location 317 First St., Saturday, October 9, 6-11 p.m. – rain or shine. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Advance tickets are $10; admission at the gate is $15. Tickets will be available for sale starting September 1 at: West Marine (Jennifer Road, Hillsmere and Edgewater locations), Fawcett Boat Supplies on 919 Bay Ridge Road., Helly Hansen on Main St., Long & Foster on sixth St., EYC, at the US Sailboat Show (October 7-9) and online at www.eastportyc.org.

'Besides throwing the best parties around, giving back to our community is an important tenet at EYC. That’s why this year we’re pleased to help support the Eastport Yacht Club Foundation and Box of Rain Foundation with some of the proceeds,' said Boat Show Bash Chair Clare Vanderbeek. 'Also, thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals the party will feature a live auction, silent auction and ‘Raffle Extraordinaire’.'

Raffle tickets, prize descriptions and auction items will be available on-line at www.eastportyc.org September 1.

Food and Libation
