European Laser 4000 Championships at Fraglia Vela Riva has only one day left and nine rounds have already been raced.

Still holding first position are Boyde-Linnell with a seven point lead over Gould-Hooper. Today’s conditions were ideal on Garda Trentino for the fast Laser 4000s, which if the winds are too strong can be difficult to handle and risk capsizing.

With winds of 14 to 15 knots three races took place with only a few isolated capsizings. The tacks of the fleet on Trentino’s west bank provided veering at the right moment, but didn’t change the top of the leader’s board.

Boyde-Linnell still hold the first place with a win, a fourth and a third in today’s races. Gould-Hooper (3-2-2) are in second place, four points ahead of Brits Hodgson-Ogg in third place with Richards-Williamson of Great Britain only one point behind.

So… there is all to play for in Saturday’s last two races.

As for the Italians, they are lying in 13th and 16th place: Anna Ferrari and Andrea Cavaglieri are in 13th position.
