Grand Pavois International In-water Boat Show

by Association Grand Pavois on 6 Jul 2010
Considered in the top 5 in-water boat shows, Le Grand Pavois is held at La Rochelle. MIAA
The Grand Pavois International In-water Boat Show will be held 15-20 September 2010 at the Port des Minimes in La Rochelle. 850 exhibitors are expected on 100,000m² of exhibition. 300 boats will be exhibited afloat over 700 presentations at the show.

Areas for all visitors and Tahiti and her islands as the guest of honour of the 38th edition. Benchmark for pleasure sailing fans, the Grand Pavois offers a unique opportunity to try the boats at sea before purchasing. The Grand Pavois is one of the Top 5 international boat shows afloat.

After a year of economical crisis that reached its climax in late 2009, the year 2010 is expected to be a decisive year of resurgence for the boatyards. Four months before the event, the Grand Pavois announces at mid-June 2010, more than 80 new boats, with mostly International 2011 previews. The trend is the emergence of new concepts combining sailing comfort and performance, energy saving and engine's practicality.

By its concept and its management, the Grand Pavois can claim to be the most representative boat show for the boating industry. A unique example in Europe and almost unique in the world of exhibitions, the Grand Pavois is an association governed by professionals for professionals.

The show matches with the French market's expectations, highlights the qualities of French production and proves the wealth of small boatyards that are very likely to choose the Grand Pavois as their annual boat show. The Atlantic rendezvous by its position, proposes an exhaustive range of marine sector with the presence of the main boatyards or groups, with niche markets (long voyage boats, electric motor's boats, regattas monotypes...), with boatyards that build tailored-made boats with a traditional design and high-technologies (carbon, flax fibre...) without forgetting the boardsports and light sailing, equipments, engines and more.

As the annual meeting point for the profession for 38 years, the Grand Pavois enables to make a review of the past year and to discover the trends for the coming year.
