Joutes Languedociennes at Escale a Sete

Too often when major sailing events are staged the media pack go from their hotel to the media centre and out onto the racecourse, and trudge back through the same return route at the end of the day, pausing briefly at a local watering hole - assuming one is still open. In this regard, Sail-World pleads guilty as charged on all counts.

Top international sailing photographer, Juerg Kaufmann broke ranks one day at Escale a Sete, during the first round of the Extreme 40's and captured these outstanding images from the maritime festival, run in conjunction with the Extreme 40's featuring the 'joutes languedociennes'.

Now we know what we too often miss.
