No Wet Weather Delays at Sydney City Marine

As the rain has come and gone...and then come back again and again over the last few weeks in Sydney, the 3200 square metres of undercover hardstand has allowed the team at Sydney City Marine to carry on uninterrupted – something that ultimately saves time and money for the customer and boat owner.

Facility Manager, Stuart Dodds said the undercover space is one of the many advantages that Sydney City Marine has over other boatyards.

'All of these jobs would have had to be put on hold due to rain - being undercover allows us to work on the boats, maintain working deadlines and stay within budget or quoted prices'

'It saves the boat owner money, particularly when they are being charged for the time spent on the hardstand – because we have no delays and don't charge any extra for being undercover when it rains, it doesn't impact on the cost of their job with work continuing as normal 'said Mr Dodds.

'We set high standards in delivering a great experience, quality results and value for money to our clients, and being able to stick to the launch date given at the start of the project is integral to that'

With a small and a large spray shed, any spray painting is done in a dry, enclosed environment, and both sheds have been kept busy.

'In the large paint shed, we have a small sports yacht and a 4.2m centre console being prepared for a re-spray, whilst in the smaller shed, we've just finished a total re-spray of 44 foot custom power boat'
