Princess Yachts, widely recognised as one of the world leaders in luxury motor yachts and sport yachts, has confirmed a firm commitment to the Australian and New Zealand markets with the announcement of a factory-backed distributor. Well-known industry identity Alan Paterson has been named to head Princess Yachts Australia, and together with his skilled sales, service and support personnel will provide the sales and after sales back up expected from such a prestigious marque.

Princess Yachts International is now under the ownership of an investment group sponsored by the LVMH group, comprising Moet Hennessy, Louis Vuitton and Groupe Arnault. Paterson said owning a Princess motor yacht was 'the pinnacle' of boat ownership. 'I'm elated to have this opportunity to help in further developing the range for owners in Australia and New Zealand,' he said. 'Many luxury boating marques were heavily impacted by the financial turbulence over the past couple of years, but Princess, with the backing of LVMH has maintained its commitment to owners and our partnership will offer additional confirmation that Princess is the logical choice in luxury boating,' he added.

Princess Yachts Australia will now forge ahead in establishing a national dealer network in each of the major boating destinations throughout the region. All will focus on providing current and prospective Princess owners with unrivalled levels of customer service and support. The company plans on staging an impressive display at the approaching Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. 'It will in fact be the most amazing display of Princess vessels ever seen in Australia,' Paterson declared.

More new models, among them the V52 and V62, together with what Princess labels the 'most stunning sport yacht ever to arrive in Australia', the fabulous V85-S will be destined for release at the 2010 Sydney International Boat Show in July.

'Princess has developed a reputation for building boats of the highest possible quality and performance and this can be seen in the new models arriving here shortly,' he added. 'Two of the most popular models, the Princess P78 and P62 are already available at our Hope Island Marina headquarters, so we invite interested people to contact us now to arrange an inspection.'
