Matt and Noel pushing hard in a turn. - Australian V8 Jetsprint Series Mick Thomas
After many months of preparation and hard work the Swarfega/Premier one products 350 V8 Jetsprint team have arrived on the scene at the first round of the series at Temora in a splash of colour and excitement.

With Matt Selby at the wheel making the move from formula two racing in the Australian superboat series, to the jetsprints with very little trouble, he said after his sixth place in round one, 'it was the most exciting form of boat racing I've ever participated in, with all the changes of direction and corners coming up so quickly it is a matter of making up your mind well before you arrive at the next corner, and making sure that the boat is sitting well on the water.

It has been a long, hard road getting the boat ready and we really couldn't have done it without the support of Bernie and Cheryl Learsons Company Swarfega and Premier One Products they have been very understanding with the teething problems we had at Temora in the first round.'

The really hard part for both Matt and Noel, is getting used to the track with its many changes of direction, 'It's not like we are used to turning left all the time. The g-forces are incredible as you rip the course up, changing direction every second its an incredible feeling, like nothing i have ever experienced,' says Matt.

'We are here for the long haul and looking forward to the rest of the season, and we just cant wait for the next round where we hopefully, will be more competitive after making some changes to the hull to hopefully give us better handling capabilities.'
