Louis Vuitton, America's Cup, Clipper drama and much more

A lot of European news this week.....

At the Louis Vuitton Trophy in Auckland the Italian team Azzurra, from the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, is doing exceptionally well in that stiff competition.

Groupama 3 continues its quest to beat Orange 2's record, Vincent Riou's new PRB is due for launch on Thursday, Claire Leroy (France) has returned to the top of the ISAF World Match Racing Rankings and the Audi MedCup is gearing up for its 2010 season.

In World news the America's Cup continues to be surrounded by controversy, Hull & Humber's skipper (Clipper Round the World Yacht Race) has been airlifted off the yacht after breaking his leg and the Puma Moth Worlds are continuing in the UAE.

Swirling Winds, Crane Issues, 3 Boats Racing Swirling winds in New York caused major problems launching the fleet of F50s at the Mubadala Sail Grand Prix, so only 4 boats made it on to the water, and that was rapidly reduced to just 3 when the Bonds Flying Roos nosedived, causing significant damage.
