Rob Mundle releases his latest book ‘Hell on High Seas’ Rob Mundle
International bestselling author and yachtsman, Rob Mundle, has just released his latest book, Hell on High Seas.

Already confirmed as a ‘gripping read’, Hell on High Seas chronicles some of the most remarkable stories of survival and daring the world’s oceans have ever hosted. Amazing feats of courage: some verging on madness, others where death is eluded through sheer bravery, determination and innovation.

John Glennie and three other New Zealanders survived 119 days in a capsized trimaran before being washed ashore onto a rocky beach.

In one of the greatest adventures of all time, Australian Ben Carlin and his wife, Elinore, brought new meaning to ‘amphibious vehicle’ when they survived a hurricane and crossed the Atlantic in their tiny amphibious jeep – the start of an incredible 10-year round-the-world odyssey.

Five Mexican fishermen went to sea on a three-day shark-fishing trip in an open dory which had no protection, and vanished. Nine months later three of them reappeared.

Famous World War II ANZAC aviator, Keith Thiele, has probably defied death more than anyone else on the planet. After surviving more than 50 bombing raids across Europe he became a commercial pilot and adventurer. Twice during sailing excursions on the notorious Tasman Sea his tiny yacht was smashed by mountainous waves, yet he managed to sail home.

Damian ‘Damo’ Langley could well be called ‘Damo Dundee’ as his near-death experiences as a professional fisherman in Australia’s tropical north make the antics of movie hero ‘Crocodile Dundee’ look like child’s play.

Rob Mundle is the author of Fatal Storm, the story of the tragic 1998 Sydney Hobart yacht race. It has been published in six languages and become an international bestseller.

Hell on High Seas, published by HarperCollins, is Mundle’s eighth book. It is available through leading bookstores and online.
