by Crownline Boats on 24 Aug 2009
The company has been saved from liquidation. MIAA
After falling into difficulty and announcing an impending auction of all assets earlier in the month, Crownline Boats has issued a statement to dealers and associated partners to announce the company has been purchased and will resume production in the very near future.

The release continues: 'We are very pleased to announce that Tony Zielinski, owner of Leisure Properties LLC, and Dave Wilson, owner of Misty Harbor and Ultracraft, have joined together to purchase Crownline Boats.

'Tony has extensive experience working for Ford Motor Company within their dealer development department and also owns a marine retail establishment in Wisconsin. Dave started Misty Harbor in 1990 and has managed and grown the business to be one of the most well established pontoon manufacturers in the industry today.

'These two gentlemen, along with the current senior management team look forward to re-establishing Crownline to a Top 5 industry leader once again! We are also very pleased to announce that the original leadership team will be rejoining the company.

'Kevin Riem will be Vice President & General Manager, Guy Coons will be CFO, Tami Murphy will be Director of Manufacturing Operations, and Nathan Heisner will be Manager of Inside Sales. We expect several additional leadership positions to be filled with returning company staff to insure a smooth transition while providing maximum customer support during this exciting start-up period for our new company.

'This message is the first of many to come outlining the details of the new Company direction. You will receive more correspondence from the Crownline team throughout the following week, in which we will attempt to address all your needs regarding customer service, the 2010 model year lineup, pricing and when we plan to resume production. Your sales representative will also
be in contact with you as soon as possible to explain these details and answer any questions you may have.

'Crownline is very excited about our team’s future and all the possibilities this exciting new opportunity brings with it! We look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with all of our valued Crownline Dealer Partners and our employees as we move forward into the future. Thanks again for standing by us and the brand during these past few months, we know that they have been
very challenging, but we expect great things as we move into the future!'
