Today looks to be an exciting day of sailing with winds looking to fill in from the Southeast throughout the day.
Racing is scheduled to start at 1025hrs where the inshore forecast is showing SE winds at 4-9Knts. The Wind Speed Graph below shows the inshore (blue lines) and offshore winds (orange lines) increasing as the day progresses.
At 1100hrs the offshore forecast is showing 15-18Knts ESE with the rest of the afternoon sitting at around 20-21Knts from the SE.
The Wind Maps below are showing the incredible detail that is achieved with PredictWind’s high resolution forecasting. The maps shows the winds bending around the islands and the wind spend dropping considerably on the leeward side of islands and headlands.
The below forecast shows the winds starting to fill in at 1500hrs where we should see some winds around 20Knts and higher.
Wednesdays forecast is predicting winds to be around 24-28Knts from the SE, which can be seen in the Wind Map Below.
