Boating lifestyle business Riviera Syndication has announced plans for an exciting new international syndicate - in the Mediterranean. The three-year program will have a new Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht berthed in three picturesque European locations over three years beginning in 2012.
Riviera Syndication is an independently-owned company that sells and maintains shares in luxury boats in locations around Australia – and now in Europe.
CEO John Russell said: 'We want to provide owners with a unique experience, to explore the beauty and history of the Mediterranean in a comfortable luxury cruiser, complete with crew. Each owner will have two weeks each European summer over a three-year period, first in Italy, then in Croatia and finally in the Greek Islands.”
The program was unveiled at the recent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and Mr Russell said the company has already received deposits from five clients.
'We have selected the Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht for its alfresco design and its spacious four-cabin layout, plus separate crew quarters.'
Mr Russell said the new Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht will first be berthed in Santa Margarita, a picturesque port on the Italian coast near Portofino.
'Owners need have no concern about language or unfamiliar waters. We plan to employ a highly experienced crew of Skipper and Hostess who will ensure a comfortable and enthralling cruising experience. Owners will have two weeks to explore the cool clear waters of the Italian and French Rivieras, visiting historic ports such as Monte Carlo, Nice, Cannes, Livonro, Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Villefranche.'
He said that he and wife and business partner Sharon Russell would host the program from Santa Margarita during the first summer to meet and greet clients and personally introduce them to the boat and crew. He said the two-week boating holiday can be combined with a more extensive holiday in some of the most beautiful countryside in the world.
The following summer the boat will move to the port of Split in Croatia where the cruising grounds are stunning.
“There are the spectacular islands of Hvar, Korcula, Zuljana and the port of Makarska,” he said.
“Owners may even choose to visit Trieste and Venice in Italy, only a day sail away.”
In the third summer, the boat will be based on the Greek island of Rhodes, allowing owners the convenience of flights in and out of most European cities to the historic island where the cruising to Mykonos, Santorini, Corfu and Crete is very easy.
“They may also want to visit the famous and historic cities and sights of Turkey including Kusadasi, Troy, Istanbul and Anzac Cove,” said Mr Russell.
He pointed out that Riviera has Dealers close to all three locations, ensuring service and maintenance will be first class.
At the end of the third summer, the boat would be offered for sale from the local Riviera Dealer, with owners receiving their share of the equity realised.
Mr Russell said that the team at Riviera Syndication has conducted an extensive survey of current owners to make certain that the Mediterranean program meets the highest expectations.
'We value our owners' comments in assisting us with our planning,' said Mr Russell.
