Day 1 of the A-CAT European Championship

A-CAT European Championship 2009, Lake Constance SW

The first two races of the A-CAT European Championship took place on Lake Constance in light winds of 5 to 8 knots.

Steve Brewin of Australia has the overall lead after a third and a first place, tied on a total of four points with Sascha Wallmer of Switzerland. In third place is Bob Baier of Germany on the same points as Georg Reutter of Germany and Hans Peter Steinacher of Austria.

Wallmer won the first race with Matthias Dietz of Germany second and Brewin third. In the second race Brewin won with Baier second and Wallmer third.

Top Tornado sailor Mitch Booth of the Netherlands is in tenth place after a 19th and sixth place finishes.
